Those who are rich in heart do not easily accept the gospel. They do not feel the necessity of the gospel because their hearts are full of the greed for wealth, knowledge, power and fame. On the other hand, because those who are poor in heart have no evil such as pride, arrogance, selfishness, and greed in their hearts, they readily open their hearts and accept Jesus Christ with goodness. As a result it is the poor in heart who are blessed and will possess the kingdom of heaven. ¡°Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.¡± (Matthew 5:3)
