Today many people seek for their own benefits, while just a few people sacrifice themselves for the benefit of others. In the Bible, we can find that a widow readily gave a prophet of God the last of her food when she was running out of food because of long drought. She had no desire for her own benefit at all, so she could make a piece of bread of a handful of flour in the bowl that had remained for her last meal and served it to the prophet of God. As a result, she received this amazing blessing: The flour container was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty until the day that that three-and-half-a-year drought came to an end. When we seek for others¡¯ benefits, it may seem to be a big loss at that time, but in the end, God who knows everything will surely repay us blessings.
¡°Give, and it will be given to you.¡± (Luke 6:38)
