When we are certain of our opinions and insist on them, it is easy for us to break the peace
established with the people around us. Even if we try to give benefit to those we favor, the
affected party might not be in a situation where he could receive or he may not want to receive
it. We are not to force children, juniors, or friends into accepting what we want, but must try to
understand their heart and situation and realize they may not like our favoritism. So, we must
use discretion in everything. We must know what they may think and understand our influence
will be different according to our words and deeds.
"Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord."
(Hebrews 12:14)
