• The Breadth of Understanding
  • You may have encountered people you found to be difficult to understand. Did you just think they are too different from you and keep your distance from them? If you know how a person has grown up you may understand him better. For instance, a violent-tempered person might have grown up in family discord or in financial hardship. When you think in others¡¯ shoes and consider why they acted as they did, then you will expand your breadth of understanding of others. As you understand others more, you will come closer to them more easily. This is the first step to harbor many people and lead them to God.
