People have a different heart and lead a different life according to the size of their hearts. Those who are narrow-minded and have small hearts have unrestrained delight when they receive praise and feel as though they achieved all things. But when they are scolded for their poor works, they also lose heart easily and feel frustrated. On the other hand, those who are broad-mined and have big hearts look back on what they did even when they are praised. When they are reprimanded, they do not lose heart, but turn it into an opportunity to improve their ability. (2 Corinthians 6:13)
