      Psalm 119:9
How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is the devotional service for Young Men's mission, Canaan Mission, Sunday Students, and Light & Salt Mission. Let's give all thanks and glory to God the Father who blessed us to have this devotional service. My thanks also goes to all the devotees who have prepared this service with all your heart.

Dear students, and Young Men's Mission, Canaan Mission, Light & Salt Mission members. This Manmin Central Church you are attending is a very unique church.

When people of the world find free time, they take a rest or invest their time for better future, but you come to church to pray and attend services everyday. Those who say they also go to church take pleasure of the world as they please, but you say No to TV, movies, or entertainment shows. In this world where immoral and passional things are casual, you try not to be a part of it, but try hard to live a holy and pure life.

Why do you live such a unique life? It is because you have true faith. It is because you have hope for Heaven. It is because you have a goal of not just being saved and going to Heaven, but being sanctified and becoming a true child of God.

In fact, it is not easy to live such a life. This world is full of things that can mislead you. Especially when you are a students or a young man, you want to enjoy this and that. If you are a member of Canaan Mission or Light & Salt Mission, you may find it not so easy to cast off evil, self-righteousness, or frameworks that have been piled up in the past.

You try a little to find it difficult, you say to yourself, "It's difficult for me to change," and you go back to your old habit. You seem to standstill, and you feel embarrassed because you have no fruit to show before God or the shepherd. You say, "Is it ever possible for a man like me to go into spirit?" "Couldn't I do more? I tried thou." And, you feel worn out.

It's not that you cannot do it. You can surely do it. No matter how perverted and evil generation it is, all you have to do is make your goal clear. Unless your hope changes, unless you don't stop working hard to change, you will surely do it. Just as I promised to 'drag you to Heaven by threading your nose, I will surely go with you.

The title of this message is "Renewed daily." I urge you to completely erase your thought, "I cannot do it." I ask you to check how you are today, and to renew yourself to be better everyday. I pray in the name of the Lord that you may pass the pearl gate of New Jerusalem that is wide open to you.

      [Main]

      Dear devotees, and congregation.

Renewed daily, to go into whole spirit, first, you must see whether you live in the word of God.

When you want to go to the Summer Retreat place, you don't go where your feet take you. You must have a map to find a route. There is a map to go to New Jerusalem, and the map can be found in the word of God. For the last 34 years, I've taught you how to meet God, how to experience God, and how to go into spirit and whole spirit.

Someone said, "I don't feel the love of God. I don't cry. What should I do?" If you correctly make bread from the "Message of the Cross," you cannot but shed tears. If you understand the heart of God the Father who desires to get the true children, and the sacrifice of the Lord who gave up His life for us, how can you not feel their love?

Although you may say, "I know their love," since you don't properly make bread of it, you cannot feel their love. To feel it, you shouldn't understand it only as knowledge, but you must make bread of it also in your heart. At least you must arm yourself with it even as knowledge, and as you pray hanging on to the word, you can understand it by the help of the Holy Spirit. To that extent, you can feel the love of God even more deeply.

Therefore, you must first diligently learn the word of God. If it is difficult to cast of the lingering attachment to the world because you are short of hope for Heaven, you should make bread from the message of Heaven and Hell first. If you want to receive answer, check yourself according to the message of "Seven Spirits." If you are a student and wish to study well by the wisdom and strength of God, there is a message "Secrets to Study."

To go into spirit, you should learn the word of God first. What is goodness, what is evil, how can I cast off evil, what should I cast off, and what should I do? You must learn these basic messages of circumcising your heart. Just as Psalm 119:9 says, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word," you must change according to the word of God.

Before you knew the true, you lived by your own standard as you please. You hated back those who hated you, and you thought it was just. For your benefit, you tricked people or broke a law, and you justified yourself because others were doing it, too. As a student, you knew you should not see this or do this, but you followed your friends of the world doing it.

Then, the word start to fill your heart, and you begin to live not by your own standard, but by the word. This is how you renew yourself. You pray, "Let me go into spirit," "Help me go to New Jerusalem"; you should not pray vaguely like this. You should arm yourself with the message such as "Spiritual Love," "Nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit," "Beatitudes," and "Goodness," and then you should pray for others' benefit, and pray to possess the heart that can please God the Father.

Of course, there are people who cannot find enough time to listen to message or read books. If you make bread of the messages only of Sunday Service, Friday Service, and Wednesday Service, it is already 4 messages a week. And there are more if you attend various meetings such as prayer meetings. If you put these message into your heart every week, how many message will there be after a year?

You must keep making bread from the Bible as well. You should read at least one chapter a day, and memorize important verses; I've continually asked you for a dozen years. Only when the word of God is inside you, can it become the foundation of changing yourself.

By the way, chances are that even those who have been Christians for long years don't live in the word. They say they have made notes of the messages and that they've read many books. However, they received grace when they listened to it, but then you forgot. They made a note of it, but they forgot after making a note.

They didn't put it in their heart properly. Although they are not armed well, they think they know it well because they've heard it before; they are confused. They even say the message is not in their style, or that it is not interesting because they heard the same message before; they fall into idle thoughts and doze off during a service. "A service is to worship before God"; they say they know this because they heard it, but it is not their heart.

Therefore, to be renewed daily, secondly, you must see how well you apply the word of God to yourself.

If you don't apply the word to yourself well, you may fall into one of 2 categories.

First, you diligently study it and memorize it, but you think you have nothing to do with it.

For example, you memorize that, in order to accomplish peace, you should make peace with God, with yourself, and with others, and that you should cast off the heart of seeking one's own benefit and consider others.

However, when you work with others, you still seek for your own benefit, and make conflicts with others. Moreover, you apply the message you hear only to others. You say, "He is so selfish. He has strong self-righteousness and frameworks. He breaks peace with me," and you judge him. You don't realize that you are obstinate and cause conflicts with him.

To quickly change and come into spirit, you must take a word as if God talked to you, no matter when and from whom you hear it. Of course, you need the grace of God to find yourself while listening to the word and apply it to yourself. Only by the inspiration of Holy Spirit can you discover yourself and understand the word that you couldn't understand before.

To receive this grace, you need a longing heart and an effort. You come to a worship service early and see whether you have anything to repent of to worship God. You earnestly pray, "Help me discover myself by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and let me understand the heart and will of God the Father in the message." And you sing praises with a longing heart. Just as it is said that "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth," you should long to worship God in the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

I urge our students to attend worship services with the heart of this prayer. Then, the Holy Spirit will help you understand the message that is a little hard to understand, and you make bread from it.

The second category of not applying the word to yourself well is that you let go of the grace you receive.

Some shed tears and receive much grace as they hear the message. They say, "How can the preacher know my heart? The message was for me." When they hear the testimony of the one who entered spirit, they say, "He managed his life like that. I can make it if I do what he did. But, that's all there is to it. A couple of days later, they don't even remember what kind of grace they received.

They just attend those meetings where they can receive grace, but, since they fall short of an effort to make the grace theirs, they are slow to change in their heart. As you can see, if you don't apply it to change yourself, there will be no fruit even though you seem diligent. You say, "I attend all sorts of services and meetings. I pray and take care of my duty. But don't I go into spirit?"

Hebrews 2:1 says, "For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it." If you hang onto the messages of a week only that reveal yourself, and continue to pray, there are so many things you should pray for, don't you think? As you pray and keep making an effort like this, your will change little by little everyday, and spiritual faith will grow.

When such a little change doesn't stop, the Holy Spirit in your heart will rejoice. And it will make your Christian life a happy one. Moreover, if you keep on make an effort like this, your faith will dramatically grow up in such a special moment of grace as this devotional service, and summer retreat. I urge you to apply the word of God to yourself and renew yourself day by day.

      Dear devotees and congregation.

To go into whole spirit as renewed daily, thirdly, you should check whether you are faithful to your duty with gratitude for the grace you received.

Just as Psalm 116:12 says, "What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me?" when you change by the word and receive grace, you don't want to stop there. You surely wish to do something for the Lord. Our students wish to do something in return when you receive grace, don't you? I'll pray more, I'll do better during the service, I'll glorify God by studying well, I'll obey my parents and change; you make this confessions.

You long to be a member of a choir or a mission, and to do any duty for the Lord. Even if you are a novice Christian, once you receive the grace, you hand out Manmin News and preach the gospel. There are some who are cleaning various places of the sanctuary. You try to find any work to do such as in Sunday school, traffic control, church restaurant, and so on. Even if you are not a church worker, you try hard to gather together, take care of brothers and sisters in faith, and give intercessory prayers.

You don't want to be acknowledged. You don't want to receive something in return. You do it because you are thankful for the grace. You do it because you feel happy as you can do something for God. If you are faithful with this aroma of thanks, Father God will be pleased to take it and help you change quickly. Moreover, while you are faithful to your duty, you may find more chances to discover yourself.

Since you can deal with many souls, you can discover more of you which are to be improved. You can embrace various kinds of people, and understand the deeper heart of God the Father. Of course, you can do this when you are faithful not with your physical body only, but with the aroma from the heart of thanks for the grace, Moreover, you should have a longing heart to discover more of you and change yourself. I hope you can renew yourself as you are faithful to your duty like this.

Dear devotees, brothers and sisters in Christ.

Hebrews 12:1-3 says, "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Unload all the sin, cast off any deception of the world, and fix your eyes on the Lord Who can make you perfect. Don't stop, don't grow weary, don't get disheartened, but get help from the space of the shepherd and cheer yourself up. When you depend on the word of God one by one, and renew yourself and change even a little, it will speed up.

And be thankful for the grace and work faithfully; this way, everyone can go into spirit. You will eventually become the fruit of whole spirit and stand before the throne of God the Father. I hope you will run more vigorously with this hope. May you change into a true holy child without any blame or spot, and find yourself in the arms of God the Father, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray.
