[38] Duty

[Verse 1]
So important it is for us
that the Father sent His only Son 
to show the way.
Every step the Lord has taken 
was His example how we must live.
He taught us what we must do
to develop the beauty 
of the perfect heart of love.
For us, Heaven was forsaken, 
the cross was taken to teach us His love.

We must long for the duty, 
that's to live like the Lord.
If we want our dwelling place 
prepared by the Lord up in Heaven.
We must show our love to Him forever 
with the heart that is like the Lord's.

He taught us the way to go
on the narrow path 
leading to the beautiful gates of Heaven.
The way is set before us. 
Precious is our duty. 
He's coming to take us home.
