[36] Love of the Lord

[Verse 1]
There was no one 
who could have done it for Him.
There was no one 
who could have taken His place for us.
Nobody could have had that much love
to have gone to the cross 
as a ransom for our souls.
In deep providence, 
our God had planned for it.
His Son was hung on the cross 
to redeem us.
With the love of the Father 
countless souls 
from death have been set free.

It was only by His love, 
His obedient love
that the Lord sacrificed everything for me.
How could I with mere words 
adequately express
this love of sacrifice He made for us?

Now I know the love 
the Lord has for our souls.
On the cross 
His love had such amazing power.
Each day's a victory bought by His love,
through the cross 
is the way to our salvation.
